What we collect
- Messages you send through the contact form or by email: your name, email address, the topic and what you write.
- Server logs created by our host whenever a page is requested: IP address, browser type, the page and the time. We use them only to keep the site secure and working.
- Two items in your browser's local storage, listed on cookies and storage. They never leave your device.
We use no analytics, advertising pixels, social plugins, embedded video, external fonts or other third-party services that could follow you. We do not create accounts and never ask for payment details.

Why we use it and the lawful basis
- Replying to you and correcting reviews: our legitimate interest in answering readers and keeping the site accurate.
- Protecting the site and fixing faults with server logs: our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
- Meeting legal obligations, if a regulator or court requires information.

How long we keep it
Messages are kept for up to 12 months after our last reply and then deleted, unless a correction or complaint needs them longer. Our host keeps server logs only as long as security requires. Local storage items stay until you clear them.

Who we share it with
Our hosting and email providers process data for us under contract. We do not sell personal data and never pass it to gambling operators. Where a provider processes data outside the United Kingdom, we rely on an adequacy decision or the UK's approved transfer safeguards.

Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive it in a portable format. Write to editors@slatecasino.co.uk; we answer within one month.

Children
Slate Casino Review is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; tell us if you think we have and we will delete it.

Changes
If we change how we handle personal data, for example by adding a service that sets cookies, we will update this notice and its date before the change applies.
